2024 Investment Climate Statements: Morocco

Summary and Introduction:

The 2024 U.S. Department of State report, released on July 17th, highlights Morocco’s significant strides in investment under the Visionary Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Over the past 25 years, investment has been a cornerstone of Morocco’s socio-economic development.

🔹 Morocco is “actively encouraging and facilitating investment” through policies, trade liberalization, and robust support mechanisms, including the new investment charter and business climate reforms.

🔹 Morocco’s strategic location, political stability, and world-class infrastructure position Morocco as a “regional business hub” and “Gateway to Africa.”

🔹 Record-breaking FDI levels reflect Morocco’s positive momentum, with inflows for the first five months of 2024 reaching the second-highest in Morocco’s economic history.

2024 Investment Climate Statements: Morocco

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

At the confluence of Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East, Morocco seeks to transform itself into a regional business and industrial hub by leveraging its geographically strategic location, political stability, and world-class infrastructure to expand as a regional manufacturing and export base for international companies. Morocco actively encourages and facilitates foreign investment, particularly in export sectors like manufacturing, through positive macroeconomic policies, trade liberalization, investment incentives, and structural reforms. The Government of Morocco implements strategies aimed at boosting employment, attracting foreign investment, and raising performance and output, designating renewables, automotive, aeronautics, textiles, pharmaceuticals, outsourcing, and agro-industry as key industries. Morocco’s new Investment Charter, adopted in December 2022, significantly expands incentives for foreign investment.

According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development’s (UNCTAD) World Investment Report 2023 , Morocco attracted the fifth-most foreign direct investment (FDI) in Africa in 2022. Inbound FDI decreased by 6 percent in 2022 to $2.1 billion, vice $2.2 billion in 2021, falling from a 2018 peak of $3.6 billion. In 2021, the latest year for which host country data is available, France (31 percent), the United Arab Emirates (21 percent), and Spain (eight percent) continued to hold the largest shares of FDI stocks, with the United States at five percent. Manufacturing attracted the highest share of FDI stocks (23.6 percent), followed by real estate (18.8 percent), telecommunications (12.1 percent), tourism, and energy and mines (6.3 percent) in 2021.

Morocco continues to market itself as the “gateway to Africa” through its return to the African Union in January 2017 and by joining the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) upon its launch in 2021. In June 2019, Morocco opened an extension of the Tangier-Med commercial shipping port, making it the largest port in Africa and the Mediterranean; the government is developing a third phase for the port which will increase capacity from nine to ten million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). Tangier is connected to Morocco’s political capital in Rabat and commercial hub in Casablanca by Africa’s first high-speed train service.

However, inefficient government bureaucracy, corruption, and the slow pace of regulatory reform remain challenges. In addition to these structural issues, the government of Morocco lacks an investment screening process for critical industries such as telecommunications, critical minerals and rare earths, and renewable energy.

Morocco continues to make major investments in renewable energy and is on track to meet its goal of 52 percent of total installed capacity by 2030. The New Development Model, an overarching plan for economic reform released in April 2021, lays out the country’s ambition to increase the share of renewable energy in total energy consumption from 19.5 percent in 2021 to 40 percent by 2035. Opportunities for green investment include smart grids, green hydrogen, energy storage, and renewable energy. In 2023, Morocco recorded over $10 billion in announced investments to build an integrated battery manufacturing and electric vehicle production chain. In March 2024, Morocco announced it would allocate one million hectares of land to green hydrogen production and designated the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Development as responsible for facilitating investment in this sector.

In February 2023, Morocco was removed from the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) “grey list” of countries subjected to increased monitoring due to deficiencies in anti-money laundering and terrorist financing compliance following a series of reforms to strengthen its anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing legislation, regulations, and criminal penalties. In May 2023, the European Commission removed Morocco from the European Union’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing “grey list.”

As of 2024, Morocco has ratified 72 investment treaties to promote and protect investments and 62 economic agreements, including with the United States and most EU nations, that aim to eliminate the double taxation of income or gains. Morocco is the only African continent with a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States, eliminating tariffs on more than 95 percent of qualifying consumer and industrial goods. The Government of Morocco plans to phase out tariffs for some additional products through 2030. The FTA supports Morocco’s goals to develop as a regional financial and trade hub, providing opportunities for the localization of services and the finishing and re-export of goods to markets in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Since the U.S.-Morocco FTA came into effect bilateral trade in goods has grown nearly five-fold. The U.S. and Moroccan governments work closely to increase trade and investment through high-level consultations, bilateral dialogue, and other forums to inform U.S. businesses of investment opportunities and strengthen business-to-business ties.

The Peak of the Atlas Mountain – the Place of the Birth of my Own Ancestors. The best is still to come.

Made in USA and presented by Said Cherkaoui Ph.D..

In addition, the delegation supported the launch of the Titrit mentoring platform, which aims to bring digital inclusion to 50,000 girls by 20251This platform was developed by eSTEM Morocco, a nonprofit initiative founded by TechWomen fellows 1

The Titrit mentoring platform, developed by eSTEM Morocco, is designed to bring digital inclusion to 50,000 girls aged 8 to 18 in Morocco by 2025 1. Here are some of the key benefits of the platform:

Digital Skills Training: The platform provides training on interpersonal, entrepreneurial, and STEM skills 2The girls then partner with female business owners, where they use their digital knowledge to help those entrepreneurs succeed 2.

Boosting Confidence and Self-Sufficiency: The mission of Titrit is to boost the girls’ confidence and self-sufficiency while preparing them to achieve gainful employment in a country where many women do not work outside of their household duties 2.

Promoting Digital Inclusion: The platform aims to bring digital inclusion to girls in Morocco, particularly those in underserved communities 1This is achieved through the distribution of HP laptops to local and national NGOs, which set up digital centers for girls 2.

Career Development: eSTEM Morocco works with volunteer mentors and tech partners to equip girls with the tools and confidence needed to pursue sustainable scientific and technological careers 1.

Community Support: The platform has received support from various organizations, including the Digital Equity Accelerator, an initiative of the Aspen Institute in collaboration with HP 1This support includes financial assistance, business coaching, and technology products such as HP laptops 2.

Through these initiatives, the Titrit platform is making a significant contribution to reducing the digital gender divide and promoting digital literacy among girls in Morocco 1It’s a shining example of how technology can be leveraged to empower young women and provide them with the skills they need to succeed in the digital age 2 1.

eSTEM Morocco has an online presence where you can find more information about their initiatives and ways to get involved:

Website: You can visit the eSTEM Morocco website for detailed information about their mission, initiatives, and impact 1.

Social Media: eSTEM Morocco also has a Facebook page where they share updates and news about their activities 2.

Please note that it’s always best to reach out directly for the most accurate and up-to-date contact information 1 2. 😊

Interested parties can support or get involved with the Titrit mentoring platform in several ways:

Volunteer as a Mentor: eSTEM Morocco, the organization behind the Titrit platform, works with volunteer mentors to equip girls with the tools and confidence needed to pursue sustainable scientific and technological careers 1 2.

Partner with eSTEM Morocco: Tech companies and other organizations can partner with eSTEM Morocco to provide resources, expertise, and support 1 2.

Provide Financial Support: eSTEM Morocco received a capacity-building cash grant from the Digital Equity Accelerator, a program led by Aspen and funded by HP 12. Similar contributions from other organizations or individuals can help scale their efforts.

Donate Equipment: Donations of hardware, such as laptops from HP, are used to set up digital centers for girls in underserved communities 12.

Spread the Word: Raising awareness about the Titrit platform and its mission can help attract more support and resources 1 2.

For more specific information on how to get involved, it would be best to reach out directly to eSTEM Morocco or the TechWomen program 1 2. They can provide detailed information on current needs and opportunities for involvement.

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TRADE – CASABLANCA – MOROCCO

1993-1994 – Event for the Promotion of Export and International Trade Between California and the Rest of the World that have Shaped my Memories and Destiny

In California, it All Started in 1993 at the East Bay Small Business Development Center, at Green Breurner’s Building, the Former Largest Department Furniture Store at the 7th Floor with Ms. Selma Taylor as the Executive Director and Dr. Said El Mansour Cherkaoui as the Business Consultant

The Breuner Building at 2201 Broadway, Oakland, California became the site of the John Breuner Furniture Company in 1931.  The art deco terra cotta masterpiece was designed by prominent local architect Albert Roller

Historical landmark columnist Annalee Allen called the Breuner Building “an eight-story reinforced concrete building with a distinctive variegated sea-green glazed terra cotta front facade, constructed in 1931 to house the John Breuner Furniture Company store. Other noteworthy features of the building include Art Deco motifs, and a pair of stylized figures crafting a chair located over the front entrance.”

The Oakland store was closed in the 1970’s and sold by the company where, following renovation, the historic building reopened as an office building in the late 1970’s.

The California Genealogical Society moved into the former Breuner Building in March 2007. As of 2012, the appearance of Ikea furniture, large yoga balls for sitting, and a flyer on the door indicating an entrance on the side heralded the move-in of a startup on the ground floor of the building – Spark Art.

Location: 2201 Broadway, Oakland, California

AFRIQUE – USA – AFRICA and Said El Mansour Cherkaoui

International Conference on Africa, I initiated and organized with the EBCITD (East Bay Center for International Trade Development) Oakland, California.

So to combine the useful with the pleasant, I published all these photos with first that of Africa over my shoulders. This photo dates from 2001, the year I suggested and participated in the organization of the First International Conference on Africa held in Northern California at Berkeley. Another will follow later in San Francisco in 2007.

I complete this first photo with others such as the one where the former CEO of the African Development Bank (Dr. Babacar Ndiang) was holding my hand and I am surrounded by African-American executives, one during one of my presentations and others showing a partial view of the audience.

Conférence Internationale sur l’Afrique a Claremont Hotel, Berkeley, California, USA

Since my early studies at Institut des Etudes Politiques of the Grenoble University, France, the development and integration of Africa were at the forefront of my studies and topics of my presentations in seminaries and essay papers. It was natural that I continue to work and increase the awareness about Africa and its need of establishing new kinds of relations with other countries other than the past metropolitan and colonialists.

Here below among other pictures, there is a photo taken in the company with the Regretted Dr. Babacar Ndiaye, former CEO of the African Development Bank Group who hold firmly my hand and is standing at my left side.

I extended the invitation to Dr. Boubacar N’diaye for his presence among us at this International Conference on Africa.  He was delighted about my presentation and we also sat together and had lunch at the same table.  Wonderful Man with full love for Africa and Africans and who initiated a series of important financial and operational measures: the African Businessmen Round Table, the creation of the African Bank for import-export (Afreximbank) and the setting up of a special easy financing for the African private sector (investors and entrepreneurs) without the guarantee of their governments.

On my right hand is Dr. Faheem Director of the Center for International Trade Development, on the other left side and holding my hand is Dr. Boubacar N’diaye, Chairman of the African Development Bank from 1985 to 1995 and honorary chairman of the same institution (Rest in Peace among the Blessed ones, Ameen)

The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) is a trade agreement between the United States and over 30 sub-Saharan African countries that allows the countries to export products to the US without tariffs. The US Congress passed the legislation in May 2000, and it was extended to 2025 in 2015. The goal of AGOA is to improve economic relations between the US and Africa and to help the economies of sub-Saharan Africa

Dakhla Polycentric Metropolis Modeling Urban Cluster in Southern Morocco

Synopsis

This writing finds its raison d’être in the spirit and the will to advance and share the reflection and the visions concerning authentic development and national integration in a perspective of shared responsibility with our Saharan Provinces.

Our southern regions must be projected on the vision of Morocco Today as the roots of Morocco at the historical level and as seeds for the realization of the culture of territorial and national integrity as well as the pillars and feet of the Moroccan body for its march on the path of final reunification and its steps toward the achievement of social progress, leading to the construction of regional economic development.

This achievement of economic competitiveness is another crossing destination leading to the establishment of its local structures favorable to a national self-sufficiency coupled and reinforced by the sustainability of operational efficiency and the consolidation of innovative and high value-added local productions and highly competitive offerings in the international market.

“Change is imperative and necessary,” said former Interior Minister Chakib Benmoussa, chairman of this 35-member commission, presenting the report on May 26, 2021, in Rabat.See more details at Morocco outlines its vision of a “new development model

A special commission appointed by the King of Mohammed VI after the Hirak du Rif presented several avenues for reform after a long reflection that involved all the components of Moroccan society.  Read more details at Morocco outlines its vision of a “new development model

Economic inclusion, social protection,  “effective education”, “quality” health service,  “tax fairness”,  “efficient and honest justice”, and “strengthening of individual and public freedoms”, Morocco is looking for a new development model, to be able to respond to the  “crisis of confidence”  of the population vis-à-vis its institutions.

Through the reading of this introduction and the existing narration in this video, we find no trace of what Dakhla or the other urban centers can acquire as direct responsibility in the establishment and the conduct as well as the realization of a strategy. of multipolar development not only inclusive of the regions but above all based on the anchoring of economic development policies having as content and as a goal:

Polycentric “Metropolization” of Spatial Planning and Synchronization of Regional Productive Units for Homogenized National Development

The Development Model submitted to the King of Morocco failed to mention what I am proposing below:

Establishment of several centers in a dependent territory from a single or dominant center – Dakhla should be transformed into a polycentric metropolis of the Moroccan Sahara coupled with a Hub for services between European capitals and the capitals of African countries.

This regional approach would be a conduit for Moroccan spatial planning based on the notion of institutional unity in regional, economic, and social diversity, coupled with a complementarity of productive and operational para-national synergy.

cherkaoui2

Dakhla would therefore be a hub of correspondence and transfer as an air and sea link as well as rail, thus creating an integrated logistics modal infrastructure with modes of transport and delivery of people and goods, thus consolidating the links between territorial integrity national and territorial integration of Morocco in trade flows between the major centers of the continents of Europe and Africa. This approach is based almost on density: this is the case with standardized centrality indices which can be broken down at several scales – local or global – and by sector of activity (Guérois, Le Goix 2000; Huriot & al. 2003).

The coastline in the development of Morocco and its Atlantic policy

Morocco has been making significant strides in developing its southern provinces and Dakhla as a new development cluster. Here are some key points:

Development of Southern Provinces and Dakhla:

  • Dakhla, located in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region of Morocco, is being developed as a major economic hub with a focus on several key industries:
  • The Moroccan government has launched the ‘Dakhla Atlantic Port’ project, a flagship megaproject operating within the development model for Morocco’s southern provinces.
  • The port is expected to support various sectors including fisheries, agriculture, mining, energy, tourism, trade, and industry.
  • Fishing: Dakhla has a rich fishing industry, and the development of the Dakhla Atlantic Port is expected to boost this sector further. The port has an industrial zone of 270 ha, of which 20% is developed for processing industries, storage areas, administrative areas, and a free export zone.
  • Tourism: The region’s unique geography and cultural heritage make it an attractive tourist destination.
  • Energy: Dakhla is at the forefront of Morocco’s green energy initiatives. TAQA Morocco, majority-owned by the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, has announced plans to invest $27.2 billion in a green hydrogen project in the Dakhla-Oued El-Dahab region. The project will generate 6,000 MW of renewable energy, which will be used to produce and export green hydrogen to meet global demand for
  • The ‘Tiznit-Dakhla’ expressway project is also underway, which will promote new economic networks spanning from central Morocco to Dakhla.
  • The Moroccan government aims to turn the country’s southern provinces into an engine of development at the regional and continental levels.

Maritime Facade for Sub-Saharan Countries of the Sahel:

  • The Moroccan King’s Initiative aims to grant Sahel countries access to the Atlantic Ocean3. This initiative is seen as a strategic turning point for these countries.
  • The initiative aims to integrate the Sahel into global trade networks by utilizing Morocco’s road, port, and rail infrastructures.
  • Four landlocked countries in the Sahel have welcomed this initiative, which requires investments in infrastructure and a co-development approach.

Infrastructure for Logistics and Trade Exchange:

These initiatives and projects demonstrate Morocco’s commitment to developing its southern provinces and Dakhla, serving as a maritime facade for the Sub-Saharan Countries of the Sahel, and building infrastructure to facilitate logistics and trade exchange. However, these are large-scale projects that require significant investment and time to fully realize. It’s also important to note that the success of these initiatives depends on various factors, including regional stability, international cooperation, and sustainable development practices.

“”The Atlantic coast of Morocco has always been an area of varied human and economic settlements, representing a cultural heritage developed on precious landscapes, sites of biological, historical, and archaeological interest. It concentrates most of the activities of the creation of wealth of the country, in particular the large commercial ports, in the process of becoming a locomotive of economic development, such as Tanger Med or the Kenitra and Dakhla projects. This development reflects the opening of the economy to the Atlantic domain and in particular on Africa.”.” Source: Abdellah Laouina: Note de recherche – Le littoral dans le développement du Maroc et de sa politique atlantique, Research note – The Coast in the Development of Morocco and its Atlantic Policy, p. 41-54

Within Moroccan territory, Dakhla would also serve as a model for a hierarchy of intra-metropolitan centers and their respective relations with other centers in Europe and Africa.

It is such a centrality of Dakhla that could instill an industrialization process stimulating economic specialization and an employment / active population ratio favorable to the training and the attraction of qualified labor, thus being able to interweave and harmonize the implementation. place of niche markets for industrial growth through a synergy between the economic, financial, and cultural cogs operating in the other regions of Morocco. This interweaving would facilitate the establishment of a platform endowed with interchangeable infrastructures, operational units, and complementary niches in the polycentric sense.

To avoid the emergence of “single-center” poles and the growth of single-center activities, regional and interregional cohesion would be guided by motivation and an approach favoring innovation, Research and Development, and effective job creation. productive preferably centered on Engineering and mechanical engineering and industrial sectors that can reduce Morocco’s dependence on the import of more efficient and innovative devices, machines, tools, and equipment necessary to the productive operations of factories, industries, and advanced technological productions.

Morocco should thus have the capacity to define and shape as well as produce according to its development needs all the equipment necessary for the materialization of the intermediate stages of its industrial progress.

A synchronized distribution between the areas of influence at the productive level and in the promotion of the region as an essential cog in the functioning, the productivity, and the renewal of the necessary conditions and resources that can stimulate the growth of poles of economic specialization responding to the challenges countries, the construction of the free trade area in Africa and international competitiveness.

“from the City of Azemmour to the Kariya of Fez” – “Min Madinate Azemmour Ila Kariyate Fes”

We understand why the reversal of history became another destiny for Doukkala, our Crème de la Crème transhuman from Doukkala to Fez, including the Chansonnier who reminded us of Ma Ini Ila Bachar looking for the branches of my Chajar.

No matter the time, no matter the place, the essential is the benefit of the good shared with others, the harmony of the spirit thought, and being of the destiny of the soul.

A series of articles and analyses on the continual globalization of the automotive industry which is tested by internal and multipolar competition as well as international imposing is looking not only for new outlets but above all for new production methods, new locations, and other supplies and a dowser by equipment manufacturers. This new composition of the automobile industry was and continues to be guided by the realization of productions relatively less expensive and more competitive than the international scale.

Thus globalization and the integration of advanced robotic production techniques have allowed the relocation of car manufacturing companies without having to adapt to the cultural environment the local operational conditions or even the degree of development of the place, region, and country where the car producers settled.

The profit margin achieved is increased by the reduction of wage costs, the rolling of the rights and social benefits given to the workers are supplemented by favors and facilities granted by the host country which play the role of magnet of attraction for the automobile manufacturers.

The second challenge is internal and specific to the emergence of electric cars which have managed to establish themselves as a serious alternative to traditional models using gasoline or diesel as fuel. Thus, the global automotive industry is currently distinguished by an international and national strategy characterized by change and continuity

Globaloganization of Renault Development Strategy: Said El Mansour Cherkaoui

Executive Briefing: This article presents the drive of Renault from the edge of bankruptcy to the rise of its model Logan to international prominence, fame and success. At the same time, Renault concentrated its production in countries that have been considered by the major car manufacturers as solely a marketplace and not the location of their production.

Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker Nio has unveiled the first car from its new lower-priced brand Onvo, in a direct challenge to Tesla’s best-selling car. May 15, 2024

Beyond Dream – BYD

Formerly written off by Elon Musk, the Chinese   BYD  proved its detractors wrong by becoming the world’s leading seller of electric vehicles in July 2022, after having sold 641,000 vehicles in the first half of 2022, almost 80,000 more electric vehicles than Tesla .

On Monday, July 1, 2024, BYD reported EV sales of 426,000. That is 21% more than a year ago, as BYD continues to close the gap on Tesla. In the fourth quarter, BYD briefly passed Tesla in global EV sales.

Although it has gained a strong foothold in the electric vehicle market, BYD began life as a rechargeable battery manufacturer in 1995 and in 2021 built a new factory in Chongqing, China to produce its blade batteries, which are thinner and longer than conventional lithium batteries ion cells.

Blade batteries are also considered the safest EV batteries because they are much less likely to catch fire in the event of an accident. They are also 50% smaller than other battery packs, resulting in lighter, more efficient electric vehicles.

There appear to be no hard feelings between the Chinese giant and Elon Musk: BYD Executive Vice President Lian Yubo now claims that BYD is “good friends” with Mr. Tesla and plans to supply his company batteries for electric vehicles.

Tesla’s Robotaxi to cost under $30K

Tesla finally unveiled its Robotaxi and larger Robovan at an event Thursday [10/10/24] night, following several years of hype and delays. CEO Elon Musk said the car — with no pedals or steering wheel — would be able to drive itself without supervision. He offered “no details” about where the Cybercab would be made, but said customers will be able to buy it — hopefully before 2027 — for under $30,000. While Musk expects it to rake in trillions, some experts doubt the cars will hit the roads anytime soon, pointing to previous delays. Investors, meanwhile, showed some disappointment around the lack of details.

The Jiangsu government intends to address these concerns by claiming that the Tesla Model Y is “a domestic, not imported car,” according to a report published by the National Business Daily, a state-owned company, citing a government employee.

4/4/2023

Tesla’s tactic of pruning back prices this year is beginning to bear fruit. The electric vehicle maker enjoyed a five percent sales increase in the first quarter and delivered a record 422,875 vehicles, which was just below Wall Street’s estimates. The company has addressed the long waits — typically driven by limited production capabilities — that have often marked the buying experience by ramping up outputs at plants in Austin, Texas, and in Germany. Still, some analysts are concerned about whether Tesla can maintain its growth without further price cuts.

  • Tesla’s first-quarter deliveries represent a 36% increase compared to the same period last year and 4% more than its previous quarter. Its previous delivery record was roughly 405,000 cars in one quarter.
  • Tesla recently issued a recall for 35 of its electric Semis over a faulty parking brake.
  • The company is also facing a probe from the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration over malfunctioning seat belts.
  • Tesla shares fell as much as 5% Monday morning.

All the pleasure is for my definition of human relationships and joy as my first name indicates to offer you such a shortcut around the World of Business and Regional Human Cultures, which is in fact only the end of the Atlas – The Peak of the Atlas Mountain – the Place of the Birth of my Own Ancestors. My writing below is a “personalized” professional testimony conveying a multiplier dedication to adapting to the variety of operational references and responding to the diversity of opportunities and the human environment in which the local business conditions and regional and national practices of the predominant relational culture.

Thus, my roles and office functions were more and encompassed more of the single and simple honorable profession of an actor or director but embraced realistic and surrealistic aspects of global scope while identifying in the panorama of the territorial affairs of California and the United States of America – Designed in California and Made in the USA and presented by Said Cherkaoui Ph.D..

While the international scene and framework on which I continue to this day my stagings and performances remain direct, spontaneous, derived, and driven by my deep desire to lay foundations of rapprochement and bridges of communications between countries distant entities, neighboring entities, and distant organizations as well as individuals from various similar and non-identical backgrounds.

The Peak of the Atlas Mountain – the Place of the Birth of my Own Ancestors. The best is still to come.

International Conference on Africa and AGOA, Berkeley, California, USA

Since my early studies at Institut des Etudes Politiques of the Grenoble University, the development, and integration of Africa were at the forefront of my studies and topics of my presentations in seminaries and essay papers. It was natural that I continue to work and increase awareness about Africa and its need to establish new kinds of relations with countries other than the past metropolitan and colonialists.

I extended the invitation to Dr. Boubacar N’diaye for his presence among us at this International Conference on Africa.  He was delighted about my presentation and we also sat together and had lunch at the same table.  Wonderful Man with full love for Africa and Africans and who initiated a series of important financial and operational measures: the African Businessmen Round Table, the creation of the African Bank for import-export (Afreximbank), and the setting up of special easy financing for the African private sector (investors and entrepreneurs) without the guarantee of their governments.

Here below among other pictures, there is a photo taken in the company with the Regretted Dr. Babacar Ndiaye, former CEO of the African Development Bank Group who holds firmly my hand and is standing at my left side.

I initiated and developed a work plan on the organization of The International Conference on Africa took place in 2001. The first time in the history of the Bay Area of San Francisco and North California to have a conference of such magnitude and subject. that I submitted to Fazale Sharif the Director of the EBCITD which I was the initiator and for which I and participated directly in its organization. I contacted and invited Dr. Babacar Ndiaye and in the following photo, event/photo took place is during an International Conference on Africa I had organized in Oakland, California and of which Dr. Babacar Ndiaye, Rahimahu Allah was our Guest of Honor.

Here below are listed links which content present among others some illustrations of my activities with the Integration of Africa with which I was directly involved, including the facilitation of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between the United States and Morocco.

For many among us, time flies through horizons without leaving traces on recognition and gratitude on what we have achieved for the good for others especially in my case not be born in the United States but I remain up to now the maker of differences between cultures and the guardian of the memories I cherish and remember through my meetings and interactions with the real treasuries of the Humanity.
